Naperville Neighborly Day is a celebration of community through a traditional block party experience, providing a meaningful and fun afternoon for all ages to enjoy. Admission is free to attend the classic block party in the heart of Naperville’s welcoming and historic downtown, bringing delicious food and drink, live music, and a unique opportunity to engage as a community about solutions to help end homelessness for local neighbors and families.
Also included this year is a Family Fun activity area hosted by Kids Kampus, a single-elimination free bags tournament with prizes (must register teams of two in person by 2pm), and a 50/50 raffle that has provided past winners over $2,000!
Also new in 2026, Tuk Tuk Naperville is providing free shuttle service to and from the Van Buren parking garage to the Main & Jackson entrance of the Block Party from 1pm – 7pm, with additional destinations available for a fee.
The Neighborly Day Block Party, presented by DuPagePads, is a family- and budget-friendly outing to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon in August, bringing neighbors of all ages back to the streets of downtown Naperville, sharing in the classic feel of a summer block party with friends. Naperville Neighborly Day welcomes sponsor and vendor support to remain a no-entry-fee experience focused on an enjoyable day of food, fun, music, camaraderie, and community, all supporting the belief that every neighbor should have a safe place to call home.
This annual block party, formerly known as Old Naperville Day, is a community celebration returning after a two-year hiatus during the downtown Washington Street Bridge Repairs. Proceeds from Naperville Neighborly Day will directly support local families and individuals in need of food or shelter in our community.
