At DuPagePads, our mission to end homelessness is only possible thanks to collaboration from partner organizations who are committed to making a difference right here in DuPage County. These partnerships often provide much-needed resources and expertise for our clients that will ultimately help them to find their way back to a home of their own. These partnerships ensure that every DuPagePads client receives the comprehensive and unique support they need to end their experience with homelessness.
One such incredible partner is Poised for Success, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women by providing them with professional attire and interview clothing. Poised for Success offers a high-end feeling shopping experience for its guests, allowing women in need the dignity of selecting the perfect outfit to help them feel and look like the best version of themselves. DuPagePads clients in shelter often only have a few articles of clothing and one pair of shoes, and the thought of dressing for a job interview leaves them feeling unsure of themselves. We are so grateful to the women at Poised for Success, for understanding this need and working hard for over 20 years to change lives.
Earlier this month, DuPagePads hosted a Job and Resource Fair at the Interim Housing Center (IHC). Over 50 clients and 20 community partners attended, all with the hopes of connecting clients with a job that will help them achieve their housing goals! In preparation for the big day, the amazing women at Poised for Success stepped in to help provide professional clothing, shoes, and handbags to ladies in need at the IHC, and we are so grateful.
