Homelessness Happens In dupage county

Adam's Story
I am a fifty-two year old veteran of the armed forces and a single father. I struggled with mental illness and substance abuse issues. But, in the midst of these challenges, the one thing that was always foremost on my mind was my son and daughter. When I found out my kids had been abused by a trusted family member, I knew things had to change. I came to DuPage PADS and began working with my Case Manager/Coach to stabilize my life and to secure safe and affordable housing.

Today my family and I are adjusting well with DuPage PADS Permanent
Supportive Housing Program. PADS has changed my life tremendously. Everything I needed for my children was there. I don’t know if they understand how much they’ve
done for me and my family.
