Jeannine Steiner has been a volunteer mentor in the Transitional Housing program for over two years  Volunteer Mentors are dedicated to helping participants through their stay in a Transitional Housing apartment:

“Sometimes, I am in awe of this courageous person.  I can see the hope starting to build.  As time goes by, I feel more and more confident that she can overcome problems of the past and that she will succeed in building a new life for herself.  It is very difficult to walk away from a lifestyle; even one that you know is destructive.  I can see the pride she feels in telling me how she is taking the right steps towards achieving independence.  I really enjoy seeing her and I look forward to our visits.  She is an inspiration to me.”
