8th Annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast
Krasa Center, Benedicitine University, Lisle
Help DuPage PADS kick off their 25th Anniversary year by attending the 8th Annual Wake Up Your Spirit Breakfast in the Krasa Main Dining Room at Benedictine University in Lisle on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. This is an inspirational event every year, but this year will be even more special because of our guest speaker Liz Murray. Her amazing story has been featured as a Lifetime television movie. Read more about her journey below.
Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story
At 15, Liz Murray finds herself living on the streets after her mentally ill, drug-addicted parents falter in their attemps to keep their family together. Instead of crumbling, the troubled teen clings to hope and determiniation, and works her way up and out of homelessness - all the way to Harvard University. This three time Emmy nomintaed film is based on her incredible true story.
Join us to kick off our 25th year, and to hear Liz Murray's story while enjoying a wonderful breakfast!
